This trip started out small and ended up with about 10 Toyotas for a fun fall trip in the central Sierra. We had 3 solid axle 4Runners (including mine), various Toyota pickups, a couple of FJ-40s and a couple of FJ-60s. Since I was the only member of the group familiar with the Hwy. 4 trails, I led the way.
We started off at Boards Crossing and aired down a bit before heading up the Sour Grass trail. By the time we got everyone up to the end of the trail, it was about lunch time.
After a lunch break, we headed back down the trail and back onto the highway, where we proceded up to Spicer Road and ultimately Slick Rock Trail. The nice weather we had experienced on Sour Grass turned to a bitter cold wind up at the Slick Rock turnoff.
