DSCF1197

And then used a 4' straight edge to line up front and rear trucks before marking and drilling new rear holes for the rear truck and now perfetly lined up front-rear. And funny thing is now with the board not in a natural heel side turn I now find my toe side turn is not as weak as I though it was as I was fighting the alignment of the trucks all along. So not saying any board is good or bad, just that it probably makes sense to check your board and front/rear trucks for proper alignment. I had assumed factory drilled holes are perfect, so no need to check. I was wrong, check and they either are or are not. If not, fix the alignment just like you do with your car. Oh, and I found the "missing" rear truck mounting holes on my deck, they were hidden under the tail skid on the bottom and covered by the grip tape on the top, but they are there. Only thing is the kick tail is at 10*-11*, so you'll need to add that much more dewedge angle to mount your trucks. I like the 33.5" wheel base I get with this mounting position, it is about as long as you can go and still leave a functional kick tail, which was one of the reasons I wanted this deck.   (33/70)
