Introduction:

The body lift kits consist of the following items:

• Body lift blocks:
  • Ultimate blocks in UHMW polyethylene:
    • 2 - 2" OD and 4 - 2.5" OD blocks for the cab
    • 8 - 2" OD blocks for the bed
  • Natural color is white, may be custom colored in black with the CLR option
  • Also available in cab-only and standard size (all 2" OD) blocks.
  • For lifts between the heights listed below, use the next higher kit price, e.g. for a 1.5" lift, use the 2" pricing
• Hardware is available in several options.
  • Standard grade (Grade 5) hardware is included in kits D, includes longer bolts for each body mount location
  • Hardware may be upgraded to Heavy Duty (Grade 8) by ordering the HD option
• Front Bumper brackets to raise the stock front bumper to match the lift
  • On '83 and earlier 4WD and '88 and earlier 2WD pickups, inquire about front bumper brackets
  • On '84/'85 models, front bumper brackets only avalable in 1 inch increments (i.e. 1", 2", 3")
• Radiator drop brackets to lower the radiator to align with the stock radiator fan
• Bed Spacers can be used to support the center of the cargo bed over the rear wheels, if needed
  • Note, the pickups have 2 locations that the bed rests on the frame, one vertical and one on the angled section of the frame.
  • It makes most sense to only use one pair of bed spacers at the vertical location.
• Shift lever extensions that screw onto the shift lever to extend it 2" or 3" to match the lift
  • Shift Lever (SL) extensions for transmission and transfer case shifter with screw-on knobs, only.
• Automatic transmission/transfer case bracket extensions for externally shifted transfer cases
  • Generally required at 2" and above, available in 2" and 3" versions.
  • At 1.5" lift, meaure the clearance between the shift linkage and the transfer case and decide if you'll need a 2" bracket or not.
• Polyurethane body mount bushings replace the stock rubber bushings, if needed.
• Lift heights up to:
  • 3" on 1979 - 1995 4WD, manual and automatic transmissions included
  • 2" on 2WD with manual transmission
  • Up to 1" on 2WD with automatic transmission
    • Including bumper brackets for the 2WD pickups
  • May also be some issues with 2WD power steering.
• In the pricing tables below, the "Typical Kits" for each given lift height and vehicle is listed, both in an itemized list at the bottom of each lift height and as bold text in the table columns.
  • The "Typical Kit" contains those parts typically needed to lift a typical vehicle that height, thus the name "Typical Kit".
  • A typical vehicle is one that is somewhat close to stock, that is has the stock engine, stock steering, stock bumpers, etc.
    • 0" typical kit would also be called a "body lift removal kit"
  • Note, things like suspension lifts, larger than stock tires, etc. have little or no impact on a body lift.
    • Afterall, all those things do is to raise the frame higher off the ground. A body lift in turn simply raises the body off the frame. So in a sense the body lift could care less what sort of suspension or tires are sitting below the frame.
  • Feel free to add or subtract from the typical kit as your needs dictate;
    • For example if you have a custom front bumper, subtract the Front Bumper (FB) brackets from your kit and adjust the price accordingly.
    • Or if you wish to upgrade to the Heavy Duty hardware, add the HD option to your kit and adjust the price accordingly.
    • And add the AT bracket kit for 2" and 3" lifts on vehicles with automatic transmissions where that option is listed.
  • Notes:
    • Clicking on the links under the DESCRIPTION column in the tables below take you to a DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM.
    • If an item price is listed under a given height but not highlighted as part of the typical kit, that means it is not typically ordered as part of the typical kit, but can be installed if desired. Consult the installation notes for that item to see what other options are available in lieu of installing that particular item.
    • If an item is listed as "n/a" under a given lift height, it is "not applicable" or "not available" at that given height.

• Toyota Pickup/Hilux (4WD and 2WD) Lift Kits by vehicle generation. Why the date and model ranges below? The grouping below are where there were significant changes in the vehicle design that affects the body lift components to the point where a different kit is needed. Within a given date/model range, all body lift kit components are the same:
  • Generation 1: 1979 - 1983
    • Includes Trekker and Trailblazer conversions
  • Generation 2: 1984 - 1988
  • Generation 3: 1989 - 1995
    • Hilux Double Cab models: 199x-200x
